Electronics Technician
Job Overview:
To undertake the assembly, installation, modification, repair/maintenance and diagnostics of electronic equipment/systems within the boatbuilding process and repair of all classes of Lifeboat.
To work within the All-weather Lifeboat Centre (ALC) ensuring tasks are carried out in a structured and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities:
To undertake the installation, modification and maintenance of marine electronic equipment and systems
To undertake the testing/commissioning of marine electronic equipment and systems
Ability to correctly identify tools, materials and equipment associated with the relevant task/process
Confirmation and compliance of task/job delivery against standards
Understand the correct use of Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) information, engineering data and documentation
Actively participate in good occupational health, safety and environmental behaviours
Work to achieve all safety, quality, production, cost and people business targets
Qualifications required :
Essential - Relevant City and Guilds or NVQ level 3/BTEC or time served apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
Experience required:
Extensive experience on the assembly, installation, modification, repair/maintenance and diagnostics of electronic equipment systems within a marine environment.
Working from Engineering drawings and following standardised work.
GBP15.29/h PAYE (Umbrella co is available, GBP20.10/h)
42 hour working week
