Your focus will be the laboratory assembly and testing of products and related electronic assemblies.

Coordinating with the development, quality, manufacturing and commercial functions of the business you will translate product specifications into working prototypes for air performance, acoustic, EMC and LVD testing prior to internal or external customer approval.

You will manage your own workload to complete CTRs and laboratory testing within timescales required, monitoring and providing feedback on your progress whilst being prepared to proactively communicate exceptions to these timescales and related project plans if necessary.

Your Objectives

1. To undertake air performance, vibration, acoustic noise and EMC testing

2. To construct and evaluate test samples in conjunction with the technical teams

3. To ensure timely completion of assigned CTRs and tasks

4. To understand and comply with the requirements

5. To understand and apply the fundamental principles

6. To provide detailed laboratory reports identifying product performance, operation and key functional information in accordance with the standards established by the business

7. To maintain knowledge of relevant national and international standards, ensuring that laboratory activities are compliant

8. To comply with health and safety requirements and promote good laboratory discipline

9. To ensure laboratory equipment is maintained in calibration and good working order

Your Skills & Knowledge

* Practical and technical knowledge of electromechanical principles and laboratory disciplines

* Proven ability to work to deadlines in an industrial environment

* Demonstrable problem solving skills

* Experience of a hands-on approach to prototype realisation and assembly

* Excellent organisational skills with a structured and logical approach to task management

* Confident communication skills across a range of media

* HNC / Degree qualified in Electronic Engineering or a similar discipline

* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools

* CAD experience with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings

* Ability to drive and affect project delivery
