Job description:

Recruit UK is working on an excellent opportunity for a Financial Planning Administrator to join one of the largest independent accountancy practices in the South West.

This reputable company is an accredited member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), the CBI and PrimeGlobal one of the top five largest associations of independent accounting firms in the world.

The Role:

  • Support senior financial planners prepare for and in meetings
  • Provide a high level of service to clients, including regular valuations
  • Manage Financial Planners diary by booking meetings
  • Help ensure files are compliant and complete
  • Process new business and track to completion
  • Write letters to clients and providers as appropriate
  • Compilation of suitability letters and other client/product provider correspondence
  • Maintain and update back-office systems, including provider platforms

This company is looking for someone:

  • Attention to detail with the ability to prioritise workloads.
  • Good telephone manner
  • Confident in dealing with clients
  • Systems: MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • A good working knowledge of Intelligent Office (IO).
  • Previous experience of working in financial services administration (either in an IFA practice, a product provider, investments, insurance or banking).
  • Good working knowledge of pensions and/or pension administration.
  • Knowledge of FSA compliance procedures, research and analysis skills re: financial advice.
  • Project management and Investment research experience

Qualifications:

  • A level or equivalent with GCSE (C or above in English Language and Maths)
  • A willingness to undertake relevant financial planning qualifications or already studying/ qualified with Financial Planning Certificate (FP1), CF1 or equivalent or CII Award in Financial Administration or equivalent.
