Project Coordinator

A Project Coordinator is required by a voluntary organisation who are committed to promoting the welfare of children and families living in Corby, through the training and recruitment of highly skilled volunteers to undertake home visiting support with families in the early years of parenting.

The Charity have a vacancy for a Project Coordinator based in Corby with a focus to provide leadership to their dedicated team of Volunteers ensuring they are appropriately motivated, trained and supervised to provide a positive and professional service to support families both in person and digitally where appropriate.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Coordinating the day-to-day work of Volunteers.
  • Facilitating the Home-Start preparation training course to the Volunteers, both face to face and digitally.
  • Overseeing the recruitment, induction, and training of new home visiting Volunteers in line with Safer Recruitment practice.
  • Matching Volunteers with families and reviewing their work.
  • Ensuring all Volunteers and delegated staff receive effective supervision, direction, opportunities for development and all families receive high quality support.

You will hold your own caseload of families and work in a joined-up way with other professionals, maintaining confidentiality and ensuring the support offered to families is of the highest standards in accordance with best practice and the charity's model.

You will work alongside the Manager to ensure the strategic and operational progression of the scheme, including working on future funding and contributing to local and community development.

The ideal candidate will already be working in the voluntary sector, ideally in a role supporting children and families. You will be looking to take the next step in your career with the opportunity to contribute to the strategic and operational delivery of the charity's services to families in the community.

You will have relevant professional training and excellent, up to date knowledge of current legislation and policies relating to children and families.

You will be an organised leader with a positive and creative approach to tackling tasks and problem solving and be capable of managing your own wellbeing and motivation. You will need to have a flexible approach to work as occasional evening and weekend working will be required along with occasional residential training.
