The Digital Content Editor / Web Editor Role:

Reporting to the Head of Client Services you will work with our clients, creating, editing, and developing creative concepts with the Head of Client Services. Assisting, where needed to distribute digital media and applications through our content management systems. Working closely with marketing and advertising agency teams, you will ensure content is appropriate for the network and deployed in accordance with campaign strategy.

Accountabilities:

This role consists of media editing and preparation of content, prior to distribution across a nationwide infrastructure of connected screens via digital signage platforms. The role will require close co-operation with our customers to help create bespoke content in HTML, as well as creative agencies to receive, check and, where required, edit content; this is then distributed to specific media players across the network.

Must have a good knowledge of:

+ After Effects - Animation, Video Editing, Compositing
+ Media Encoder - Rendering
+ Photoshop - Drawing, Compositing
+ Illustrator - Drawing
+ Premiere - Video Editing (nice to have but not essential)
+ InDesign - Document creation (basic knowledge of how it works, optional)
+ Ability to work with HTML, CSS & Javascript
+ Web based CMS

Education and additional skills required:

+ Positive attitude, interest in the technology, willingness to get involved, desire to learn
+ Meticulous attention to detail and works to a high standard of professionalism is essential
+ Desirable but not essential - knowledge and experience of content management and/or digital media software either digital signage or a Web based CMS. (Preferably Scala, MagicInfo or Brightsign Content Management software)
+ Experience either in a similar role, or in relevant digital media, web development or online marketing support role
+ Works independently and methodically and uses initiative to solve problems
+ Able to prioritise work among competing tasks with changing priorities
+ Comfortable with managing data files - downloads, uploads, file transfer, data security. Knowledge of Vimeo would be a bonus
+ Windows 7 and 10 user level experience (as opposed to MAC only)

Remuneration package:

+ Hours of work: 08:30 to 17:00 (with 1 unpaid hour for lunch), Monday - Friday
+ Contract: 6-month fixed term contract, with the potential of becoming a permanent position
+ Salary: GBP24,500 - GBP26,000 depending on experience
+ Plus Discretionary bonus based on company performance
+ Pro-rata holiday (including public holidays) depending on agreed length of contract
