Full time, permanent, Sales & Customer Support - We are the leading Glass and Glazing supplier in the Loughborough area. We are seeking a self-motivated, organised and experienced Sales & Customer Support person to join our team based in Loughborough.
The position of Sales & Customer Support is part of a small office team, who act as the first point of contact for customers with the Company, dealing with routine and specialist product enquiries in a pleasant and helpful manner and to be responsible for providing quotations, selling products and processing orders received either via by phone or email through liaising with customers and suppliers.
Their goal is to deliver the highest level of customer service whilst maximising sales opportunities. Sales & Customer Support will develop exceptional product knowledge, sales and customer service skills. They will be committed to their development and easily adapt to change.
Job Role
- Working in a small team who act as the first point of contact for customers, either at the trade counter, by telephone or email.
- Deal with routine and specialist product enquiries in a pleasant and helpful manner, communicating relevant information to colleagues or referring to others as appropriate.
- Producing quotes and identifying opportunities for helping customers with their projects and advising on related product lines.
- Ensuring the effective creation and follow up of sales quotations.
- Liaise with suppliers, as required, to fulfil customer orders.
- Escalating product or customer issues to the relevant manager.
- Undertaking routine administrative tasks as required.
- Developing and retaining product knowledge.
Person Spec
- Results driven with excellent selling skills and will have previous experience in a similar sales role.
- An excellent communicator with a good telephone manner and good interpersonal skills
- Will be computer literate and have a high standard of numeracy and written and spoken English.
- Ability to work under pressure, in a fast paced environment, as part of a team and maintain a "can do" attitude.
- Organised with a demonstrable ability to prioritise and effectively complete multiple tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail combining accuracy under pressure and a 'right first time' work ethic.
- To have an effective approach to problem solving and the ability to meet deadlines.
- To have an understanding of office administration systems and accurate record keeping.
- Some knowledge of the glass and glazing trade or the wider construction industry would be helpful but not essential.
