Systems Accountant

Are you an experienced Systems Accountant looking to start asap?

This new role has been created to add support to the Finance team whilst we implement a new business system and progress some key projects. The primary focus of the role is to ensure the business is collecting and reconciling all income for the Financial Planning team.

The initial focus of the role is to ensure the business collects and reconciles all income for the Financial Planning team.

The role will progress towards the identification, design and implementation of financial systems across our ambitious organisation.

The key requirements are to;

• Provide support during implementing a new back office system and work across the Finance team to document and write finance operating procedures related to the new system.
• Ensure that all system required finance data has been collected and cleansed.
• Identify any process or data validity improvements through detailed data analysis.
• Work with IT and other business areas to improve the quality of financial data in core systems.

Salary c. GBP40,000, 36.25 hours a week. 25 days holiday pro rata, Christmas holidays, Pension Scheme, Permanent Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Agile working, Family Friendly benefit enhancements

• Very strong Excel skills with experience manipulating a large amount of data
• Possess an analytical mind with an eye for detail and curiosity towards trends and reasoning
• Ability to present complex management information to all levels of people
• Ability to understand and follow complex systems and procedures
• Ability to interpret data to non-financial people
• Knowledge of processing, reporting and overall development of the financial systems

Desired Skills

• Background in the financial services industry useful but not essential
• ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualifications
