Huntercombe Hospital Stafford is a CAMHS unit for children and young people with illnesses such as eating disorders, and other complex mental health conditions, such as psychosis, bipolar disorder and emerging personality disorder. We are located in Wheaton Aston just a few miles from junction 12 of the M6, 10 miles from Stafford, 12 miles from Wolverhampton and 21 miles from Telford

We are looking for a Gardener to effectively provide grounds maintenance and gardening across the site. Working within the maintenance department, providing an excellent external environment to patients, staff and visitors.

Key Accountabilities:

* Responsible for grounds maintenance, as specified by the Maintenance Supervisor.

* To ensure that available resources are effectively deployed and that tasks such as grass cutting and equipment maintenance are managed to a good standard.

* To work in a positive way with staff and patients, incorporating the needs of patients within the grounds for example creating and maintain patient-friendly garden areas.

* To work flexibly within the Maintenance Team, undertaking general duties as required and as specified by the Maintenance Supervisor.

* To perform a number of routine tasks, for example leaf sweeping, pruning, weeding, planting, lawn treatments, paths and path maintenance.

* Responsible for providing high-quality horticultural service across the site.

* To take a lead on special gardening projects in conjunction with the Maintenance Supervisor

This is a full time and permanent role working Monday to Friday from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm.
