Our client is currently looking for a Clerk of Works to join their team.
Within this role you will:
- Be responsible for the provision and management of comprehensive Clerk of Works service for our client’s new development programmes including pre-purchase surveys
- Review pre-contract documents and make recommendations for amendments for improvements to ensure compliance with the design brief, design and quality standards and project brief to ensure that the development is of a high quality, fit for purpose and delivers value for money.
- Co-ordinate the supervision of site activities throughout the construction process for new housing developments to ensure our client’s requirements, in terms of quality and standards, are met.
- Provide advice and guidance on construction related health and safety matters including the implementation of robust procedures for analysing, approving and recording contractors’ method statements, risk assessments and health and safety plans.
- Attend regular project and site meetings as required to report on the quality and standards of the development projects and produce weekly/monthly reports as appropriate to enable effective project management, communication and planning.
- Assist the Planned Maintenance Manager, in conjunction with other staff and tenants, in the development and implementation of planned and cyclical maintenance, improvement and refurbishment.
- To assist with the preparation of tender and contract documentation for planned and cyclical maintenance, improvement and refurbishment works undertaken by the surveying team including site surveys and inspections.
