A new, exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and committed SEN Teaching Assistant based in Doncaster on a full-time basis, with an immediate start for a full academic year. Based at an Ofsted "Good" rated Primary School in Doncaster with a supportive environment and happy, caring, and responsible children. This role will predominantly involve working one-to-one with a child in a Year 4 class with a variety of needs, to allow them to access the curriculum and reach age-related expectations. This role would be ideally suited to an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant that has previously supported students with a range of learning difficulties and complex needs on a on a one-to-one basis. This role would also be suitable for Teaching Assistants looking to gain experience supporting children on a one-to-one basis.

POSITION DETAILS

  • Location - Doncaster
  • Position - SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Start date - As soon as possible.
  • Contract type - Long Term Fixed Contract, Full time
  • Hours - Full time (8am-4pm)
  • Salary: GBP65 per day

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide tailored, individual support to a Year 4 student with complex needs in a busy classroom environment and on a one-to-one basis.
  • Work collaboratively with SEN Teaching Assistants, Teachers, and other classroom practitioners.
  • Manage challenging behaviours and situations with understanding and patience.
  • Encourage and facilitate the student to reach their full potential both academically and socially.

EXPERIENCE, TRIANING AND QULAIFICATIONS

  • Teaching Assistant Qualification OR extensive Teaching Assistant experience
  • Previous experience working with students with a range of learning difficulties and needs in a UK school.
  • Experience of providing one-to-one support for children.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
  • Up to date Safeguarding knowledge and training
