Marketing & Communications Officer

Animal Rescue Cumbria has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and creative Marketing and Communications officer to join our small team dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of cats and dogs.

You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, in particular a high standard of written communication, and confidence to work independently in the community with businesses, donors and supporters.  You will be a self-starter and a competent user of social media. 

This is a new role, developed to help support an exciting capital development project for the Shelter.  Your objective will be to raise the profile of the Charity, maximise income from events, appeals, legacies, fundraising platforms, merchandise and donations.  You will plan and manage communications with our donors and other stakeholders, and support the income generation work of the Charity's new shop in Kendal.  You will also be responsible for promoting volunteer opportunities to support all areas of the Charity's work.
