Prospectus is delighted to be partnering Starlight, a national children's charity dedicated to using the power of play to make the experience of illness and treatment better for children and their families. Starlight currently work with over 800 hospitals and hospices to provide play, distraction and entertainment services which help to improve mental, physical, social and emotional wellbeing, even in the most challenging circumstances. They are now looking to recruit a passionate Service Delivery Manager to lead their Hospital Services Team. As their Service Delivery Manager, you will lead their dedicated Hospital Services Team who focus on ensuring effective running and delivery of their services, whether it's providing their growing number of hospitals and hospices with their Boost, Distraction and Special Editions of toys and activities (physical and virtual), engaging with health professionals or helping children and families build social connections through their special event, experiences and group trips. The services Starlight provide are crucial and as part of their new strategy, they are working to extend their reach and expand the number of hospitals and hospices they currently work with. Working closely with their Head of Service Delivery, you will play a pivotal role in them achieving this by providing operation management to the team, whilst also developing and maintaining effective relationships with a range of stakeholders including health professionals, suppliers and distributors to ensure the delivery of the services is cost effective, high quality and fit for purpose. To be considered, you'll need to be experienced in the operational management of successful direct service delivery, including logistics, procurement and stock control combined with direct line management responsibilities. Due to the nature of this position, you'll possess demonstrable experience in building relationships with internal and external stakeholders that contributes to efficient and effective, high quality service delivery. Finally, although not essential insight and knowledge of working with the NHS would be advantageous, as is previous experience of the children's, hospital or play sectors. Please apply with your CV only in the first instance, in a Microsoft Word format. Following your initial application, you may be contacted by Prospectus for an informal discussion, and may be invited to provide further information to assist with the recruitment process. As a specialist Recruitment Practice, we are committed to building inclusive and diverse organisations, and welcome applications from all sections of the community.
