Our client is a provider of affordable housing and support services in the East Midlands. 

 

About the role

They are currently seeking a Lettings Officer to join their team. The main purpose of this role is to provide support in delivering a comprehensive lettings service to enable the effective management of their properties. Your main responsibilities will include:

 

  • Working as part of a small team to facilitate the process of letting properties 
  • Delivering on all aspects of the lettings, allocation and marketing function
  • Coordinating and monitoring the administration of new / existing websites and data systems including uploading and maintaining web-based marketing information
  • Undertaking affordability and risk assessments of applicants, carrying out viewings, allocating homes and maximising tenancy sustainability.
  • Working closely with the voids team to minimise void relet times and collectively coordinating the void management process 

 

What they are looking for

Our client’s successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

 

  • Experience of working within a lettings team
  • Strong customer service skills including complaint handling and coordination
  • Knowledge of the lettings process for affordable / social housing
  • Understanding of effective void management
  • Strong communication skills
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes
  • Experience of Rightmove, Zoopla etc would be advantageous
