Your Team: You will be part of the very busy Accounts Payable team. We are responsible for the payment of all invoices for News UK, we pay for all goods and services from the larger items such as Newsprint to the smaller items including Stationery.

Your Role: Primary responsibilities are the management of the Accounts Payable mailbox, barcode, scan and distribution of all invoices to set deadlines. This is a key role within the department as it is the first step in the daily processing of invoices for the team. Daily checking of the final demands and reminders received in the Mailbox. Possible involvement in other AP duties depending on workload such as journal and miscellaneous payment input, again ensuring accuracy at all times.

Day to day:

  • Print invoices from a shared mailbox on a daily basis

  • Barcode and scan invoices

  • Distribute invoices to the team

  • Checking Final Demands and Reminders received in the mailbox

  • Other adhoc Accounts Payable duties as and when workload allows

What we're looking for from you:

  • Efficient and hardworking with ability to multitask

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Pro-active can do attitude, enthusiasm and flexibility.

  • Attention to detail

  • Able to evidence excellent organisational and prioritisation skills with the ability to manage workload to strict deadlines.

  • Knowledge of SAP (not essential but preferred
