Project Coordinator
To assist the Anyone’s Child Campaign Manager in raising the profile of Anyone’s Child through the creation of dynamic media content and events; to help increase the size and impact of the activist network and to work with colleagues across Transform to deliver our campaign strategy and to achieve our reform agenda.
MAIN DUTIES
The post holder will work closely with other staff and in particular with Transform’s Deputy Chief Executive and Anyone’s Child Campaign Manager to build, support and administer the Anyone’s Child activist and family network.
Creation of dynamic media content
Design and deliver engaging social media content across a range of platforms
Explore and use a range of digital media to expand the visibility of campaigns and attract wider support
Deliver a monthly supporter newsletter
Support in the creation of media lists
Ensure the campaign website is up to date and attractive
Help with the production of publications and stories
Events and meetings
Assist with the planning and carrying out of Anyone’s Child public events and annual lobby.
Help to set up and deliver training workshops and bi-monhtly meeting for activists
Help to coordinate quarterly and regional meetings between family group members and with activists to ensure regular, timely, effective and efficient collaboration.
Assist with parliamentary meetings and stakeholder engagement
Liaise and collaborate with partner organisations
Minute meetings as required
Research
Undertake research as needed to produce effective content and support activists
Administration
Be responsible for accurate record-keeping, planning and personal administration using our internal digital platforms (G Drive, Slack etc.)
Ensure relevant personal and financial material is recorded on our databases and conforms to GDPR
Assist with other administrative tasks as required.
General Responsibilities
Actively participate and work with members across the Transform staff team: attending and contributing to meetings, engaging with strategy and planning discussions, participating in training etc.
Undertake any other reasonable duties as required.
Person Specification
Essential skills:
A dynamic and creative approach to communications
Strong knowledge of social and digital media platforms and opportunities to build new audiences
Strong understanding of mainstream media landscapes and practices
Capacity to work independently in an organised, creative and innovative manner.
High level of emotional intelligence and ability to deal with vulnerable people in a sensitive and appropriate manner.
Strong IT skills, including familiarity with design packages
Interest in campaigning for drug policy reform.
Good telephone manner.
Strong written, verbal and face-to-face communication skills.
Commitment to teamwork and confidence to engage proactively with colleagues and external partners
Desirable
Experience working with vulnerable individuals or groups (e.g. trained in counselling or support)
Event organisation and delivery
Development of networks or collective projects
Basic understanding of budgets
