We are seeking a collaborative and experienced Human Resources Manager to operationally manage a small HR team, which includes HR advisors and a HR and Payroll officer.

Your role will be to coach, support, advise and develop the team to ensure the delivery of the HR elements of the people strategy, as well as project manage various key HR related projects, namely the implementation of a new approach to pay and recognition.

You will act as the escalation point for the advisors for more complex cases, so you must have experience of end-to-end case management, including complex employee relations cases and sound knowledge of employment law and best practice.

Working as part of the leadership team within People and Culture, you will help develop and implement a range of people metrics and contribute to the development of performance improvement strategies relating to wellbeing, performance, turnover and the diversity of ActionAid UK employees. You will also develop, empower and support your team to deliver an exceptional people centred service to the organisation aligned to our feminist principles.

The successful candidate will possess substantial experience within a similar role, including managing service delivery, and the line management and development of other HR professionals. Naturally, you will be organised and will be able to manage multiple cross-organisational projects, including change management and organisational development initiatives.

You should also have prior experience of working in a unionised environment and the proven ability to develop strong relationships with trade union representatives. In addition, you will possess excellent coaching and mentoring skills. Experience of reward is highly desirable.
