My Shropshire based M&E Contractors are looking for a Buyer / Purchasing Assistant to join their existing team on a full time and permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to join a growing company with prospects.
Duties will include but not limited to: -
* Liaising & managing merchants & suppliers
* Develop and implement profitable purchasing strategies which are cost effective and within budget
* Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery and compliance to terms of contracts
* Creating, submitting and tracking purchase orders.
* Ensure relevant parties are kept up to date on progress of orders / any potential supply issues
* Analyse data to make informed decisions or recommendations on stock levels.
* Forecasting & planning to meet demand
* Manage and monitor in-house computer system making sure all purchasing information is up to date.
* Administration and reporting as necessary
* Review and feedback with suppliers to ensure service and quality expectations are met
Key Skills: -
* Essential you have a solid understanding of plumbing parts
* Ability to work within a fast paced and pressurised environment.
* Positive, self-motivated and able to work effectively without close supervision but also a team player.
* Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* Good organisational skills
* Excellent communication skills
* Good IT skills including MS Word, Excel & Outlook
