Social Care Teaching Assistant
Are you an enthusiastic and motivated Learning Support Assistant looking for a new opportunity within in a school?
Do you have experience supporting social/emotional/mental health needs?
Do you have relevant qualifications or previous experience within schools?
Are you located close to Truro and willing to travel for work?
We are currently looking for a SENTA to work in and around St Austell on a Full Time Contract. This role is perfect for anyone who would like to step into the world of education with a "Learning outside the classroom" ethos.
Although there will be support in place from the school's SENCO, the correct candidate should???
Have a passion for teaching and inspiring a child's learning.
Be able to build and maintain relationships with children, either in small groups or 1:1.
Work to their own initiative with confidence both inside and outside of the classroom.
Hope to make a difference to a child's life.
You must also have at least one year's previous teaching assistant experience, experience supporting such needs or a background of care of which you supported SEMH needs.
Other backgrounds could include:
Youth work
Sports Coaching
Working with Vulnerable children
Care background
Or feel you can offer something unique
Team Teach is preferred but not essential but good behaviour management is necessary.
All candidates must be able to provide two references from the most recent employer and you must provide a DBS check registered to the update service or be willing to complete one via application at a cost of GBP40.00. Safeguarding is a priority at Teaching Personnel and therefore all candidates are vetted to the highest standard.
