Evans Recruitment Consultancy are recruiting for positions of Transport Planner at the Port Of Harwich.
Working within an existing planning team, the ideal candidate will have 1 years plus HGV planning experience (this can be in curtain siders, containers, trailers, low loaders). Training given on in-house systems and processes related to company.

The Role
* Planning and routing of 20+ HGV 1 Fleet
* To work with existing customers through telephone & digital comms. to meet and exceed expectations.
* Working within the team to manage day to day operations of transport office.
* Good communications with drivers and for day-to-day delivery/collection, hours regulations and support.
* To schedule and plan day to day business deliveries and collections
* Understanding and implementation of tachograph and WTD rules and regulations.
* To ensure computer and administration systems are current and up to date
* Excellent geographical knowledge.
The Ideal Candidate
* Must have 1 years + HGV office transport planning experience.
* Excellent communicator both for client engagement and colleague working relationships.
* Understanding of HGV driver hours regulations, tachograph rules and working time directives.
* Have transferable office based, business to business customer service experience.
* Confident IT skills, Exel/Word and in house software
* Ability to multi-task in a time efficient and professional manner.
* Team player, who gets involved with the day-to-day operational challenges for desired end results.
