GDMA Group are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and proactive individual to join an expanding business that works across numerous sectors including Property, Social Care and Training.
You will be reporting into the Procurement Manager to learn and improve the processes and procedures involved with purchasing and inventory.
You will be disciplined and adaptable, showing a 'can do' attitude and passionate about delivering an excellent procurement service
Main responsibilities
?? Building and maintaining positive, long-term relationships with vendors.
?? Researching new suppliers and making recommendations to the Procurement Manager.
?? Raising, placing and tracking purchase orders.
?? Progressing of orders to ensure specified delivery dates are met and the correct items and quantities are received.
?? Updating and maintaining internal databases with records of orders, invoices and contracts.
?? Ensuring products are purchased at the right time, to specification and at a competitive price.
?? Evaluating pricing from vendors and negotiating to obtain improved pricing.
?? Reviewing and monitoring current pricing and market trends.
?? Monitoring and maintaining suitable inventory levels.
Candidate requirements
?? Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure.
?? Good time management and solid organisation and communication skills.
?? Strong emphasis on accuracy and detail.
?? Basic mathematical knowledge.
?? Proficient in Microsoft Office.
