1:1 SEN Teaching Assistants needed for Primary and SEN Schools in Hertfordshire in the following areas -
Watford, Hemel Hempstead, Stevenage, St Albans, Welwyn Garden City, Cheshunt, Hoddesdon and Hertford.
The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant should:
* Have experience working with children with SEN (Autism, SEMH, ADHD, Global Delay, MLD/SLD) on 1:1 basis or in classes.
* Have classroom-based experience in both KS1 and KS2
* Be flexible, proactive and patient.
* Have the ability to see through challenging behaviour and manage it in a positive way.
*
* Be able to communicate effectively within a team.
* Be committed to working full-time.
The main duties within the role will be:
* Working 1-2-1 with children who have: Autism, SEMH, ADHD & behavioural challenges.
* Leading small academic sessions with pupils on the SEN register
* The ability to help deliver creative and innovative lessons to engage the most reluctant of learners.
* Supporting children with reading, writing and phonics
* Liaising with the class teacher and SENCO around pupil progress
* Helping the class teacher to engage SEN pupils in lessons.
* Assisting the class teacher with the setup of the classroom
