Manchester city centre. We're currently working remotely due to Covid. The future will see us working in a hybrid way, with a mixture of home and office working.

We're looking for a proposition manager to join us and help us develop compelling customer propositions for our Co-op Funeralcare clients. You'll play a key role in bringing to life our new vision to update, revitalise and refresh our strategy. It's a very exciting opportunity for an experienced proposition manager to drive Co-op's choice, so we can continue to be UK's leading and most trusted funeral care provider.

In this role, we'll look to you to design, develop and deliver propositions that are distinctive, competitive, and truly client focused. It'll be up to you to identify and deliver opportunities that set Coop apart from its competitors and drive sustainable market share growth. What you'll do

• manage the end-to-end development of compelling consumer and member propositions'
• produce timely and comprehensive business cases to support the proposition development and implementation
• work closely with insight and marketing intelligence teams to understand consumer requirements and trends, and make sure these translate into our propositions
• monitor the launch of new propositions and pro-actively respond to any issues working closely with colleagues to ensure effective launch
• evaluate the viability of new propositions producing management information to inform business decisions
• manage the implementation of an integrated proposition strategy
• develop and implement an effective end-to-end proposition development and approval process
• keep abreast of market, competitor and emerging propositions
• work closely with the wider marketing team to inform and help shape marketing solutions

This role would suit people who have

• experience of product development with a strong client-led focus
• commercial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to identify, size and explain a business opportunity
• creativity to design compelling client propositions in line with market trends
• strong organisational and project management skills with an ability to meet ambitious timescales
• the ability to manage conflicting priorities within a fast-paced environment
• excellent communication and presentation skills, with a talent for building meaningful relationships with partners across the business
• the ability to develop business cases and influence key partners to bring them on board
• experience working within a regulated industry (e.g. insurance, financial services, utilities, etc.)
