Smart Teachers are recruiting for an experienced a Behaviour Mentor to join a not for profit organisation based in Kingston.

The role

The Behaviour Mentor role is an exciting and varied one, and it will see you working across Secondary schools in Twickenham and the surrounding areas. The Behaviour Mentor will be an organised individual who will be expected to liaise with schools regarding pupil progress. You will be comfortable and confident in running intervention sessions outside of the classroom, with your ultimate goal being to provide support and facilitate the reintegration of students into the classroom.

The Client is an extremely well known and well respected not for profit organisation with an outstanding OFSTED rating. They specialise in providing bespoke children's social care and education support services to other local authorities, schools and partners in the education, health, social care and criminal justice sectors. The Client prides itself on their strong team ethos, and their ability to create a collaborative environment, which enable their staff to grow their knowledge base and successfully complete their assignments.

To be considered for the Behaviour Mentor position, you will:

Have experience working with primary pupils with SEMH and SEN
Understand the primary curriculum and differentiation
Ideally worked in a SRP/PRU/Special school setting
Have the ability to coach and train support staff in best practice around SEMH and challenging behaviour
Experience working in a mentor role (able to follow EISS plans)
Have the ability to train support staff in best practice around SEMH
