Could this be you?About the Role:Dumfries Supported Living is where we support a number of adults within 2 supported living services and 2 outreach packages in the community. The services are located in Dumfries and here we support adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, mental health needs and low level challenging behaviours.As a superhero "Support Worker" you will deliver intense support with all aspects of everyday living to encourage their independence and support them to lead the most fulfilling life possible, incorporating both therapy and social based activities. You must be resilient, flexible and composed in your approach as this will be a challenging environment to work in, although equally rewarding. You will understand the importance of reflective practice and be involved in debriefs and incident analysis to ensure the best possible outcomes for the individual.Whilst no two days are the same typically, you'll help the people we support with everyday challenges such as personal care, meal preparation, housekeeping, medication, attending health appointments, maintaining relationships and taking part in hobbies & activities. Crucially, enabling them to carry out tasks, chores and hobbies that most people take for granted but are meaningful to the people we support.Due to the needs of the individual you will be supporting, this is a female only role and you will have previous experience within the care sector.We have a contract available for 35 hours per week which includes working a mix of earlies, lates and waking nights.If you share these values and really want to make a difference, click apply or call our friendly recruitment team on to find out more about Voyage and our broad range of Benefits.
