High Level Teaching Assistant, Bexley
Empowering Learning Ltd are looking for an experienced HLTA to support secondary aged students with social, emotional difficulties and challenging behaviour. This will be working within a small alternative provision leading small group sessions.
High Level Teaching Assistant:
We are looking for excellent High Level Teaching Assistants who want to make a difference to the lives of children, you will be committed to working with teachers, parents and the local community. It is essential that you have experience of working with children and ideally secondary age + aged students. You will be proactive and be able to act on your own initiative. Previous experience of working in a classroom is also highly desirable. You should be a confident user of ICT, as well as having the ability to read and write fluently and confidence in maths.

Job Responsibilities
Able to work with small groups of children, leading sessions
Supervising student's behaviour
Able to deliver lessons in absence of the teacher and PPA cover
Encourage and support the pupils learning & development
Job requirements
Experience supporting children with SEND
Comfortable working with challenging behaviour
Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with staff and students.
Happy to work with KS3 & KS4 students
Able to commit for a minimum of 3-6 months
A valid DBS registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
