The Opportunity

This is a great opportunity for a Lead Network and AV Engineer ideally with superyacht and/or high end residential experience.

Reporting directly to the Technical Manager, you will be a client facing lead AV engineer. Travelling within the UK but also throughout Europe with the purpose of delivering audio visual systems. You will be required to rack build, install and commission audio-visual systems, working with brands such as Crestron, Kaleidescape, Rotel, Samsung, Barco, Raritan, APC, Cisco, Ruckus etc.

As a lead engineer you will be expected to be a figure on site that can take control and lead other engineers including sub-contractors and trades to make sure the project is delivered to the highest standard.

Installations are generally within a Superyacht environment or high-end residential properties situated in UK and Europe.

Key responsibilities:

Rack Builds of AV and IT equipment.
On-site 1st and 2nd fix installations.
Organising day-to-day tasks and quality check completed work.
Commissioning AV Systems.
Working closely with the Project Manager to ensure all project installation and
commissioning is carried out smoothly.
Lead other engineers and sub-contractors.
Attend service visits and support either clients directly or the team remotely where required
Based in Hull or East Yorkshire with travel across UK and Europe. Salary will be GBP30k-GBP35k p.a. plus benefits.

Your skills and experience

The successful candidate will have:

A minimum of 3 years proven audio- visual installation experience (marine or high end residential would be beneficial)
Rack Building and cable management skills
Ability to fault find and to read and understand AV System Schematics
Knowledge of the installation and mechanical fixing of heavy equipment to all surfaces
Ability to self-manage, task prioritise and communicate well with the Project Manager.
Good interpersonal skills and able to communicate effectively with clients and other engineers and workers on site.
Attention to detail and pride in your work.
Professional and with a passion for the industry.
Accommodate frequent working away from the office
Clean UK driving licence.
Any of the following skills and experiences would be beneficial too:

Prior experience as a Lead or Senior Engineer
CEDIA or CTS accredited
Experience of Dante Audio, Lutron Lighting, Control Programming, CSCS, ECS, IPAF, PASMA
Understanding of WAN LAN technologies.
Routing, Switching, Security
Communications such as VSATs, TVROs, Fleet, Mobile, IPABX
