College location: East Surrey College (Redhill)
Hourly pay rate: GBP29.77/hour (GBP24.97/hour + GBP4.80/hour as payment for annual leave)
Hours: 2 days a week (from September 2021)
We are currently seeking to appoint an inspirational and talented Sessional Brickwork Lecturer to to join our friendly and professional Construction department.
In this exciting role you will have responsibility for delivering teaching and learning to our Brickwork apprenticeship students across levels 1 - 2.
Working closely with the Director of Learning, Programme Manager and the rest of the Construction team, you will have the chance to share your Brickwork industry knowledge and skills with learners to help them achieve at the highest level as well as driving continuous improvement within the College. You will act as a course tutor for 1-2 groups of students, promote attendance, participate in team meetings and contribute to the planning, development and review activities within your subject area including writing Schemes of Work, lesson plans and teaching resources. You will also support quality assurance processes and assess students work.
The successful candidate must have:
* A full teaching qualification (such as a PGCE, DTTLS, DET or Cert ED)
* A level 3 Brickwork qualification or Trowel Occupations qualified
* Experience delivering teaching and assessing Brickwork to Apprentices in an FE environment
* Brickwork industry experience (Groundwork experience an extra advantage)
* Experience of Quality assurance in provision.
