Work Placement Officer

Permanent, Full Time 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Salary: GBP22,286 - GBP25,841 a year (dependent on qualification and experience)

CMD Employability and Skills is working with an FE College in Bath Somerset

A superb opportunity has become available for a motivational Work Placement Officer.
Then role will form part of the Student Advice Centre Team.

If you enjoy building relationships with students and external employers this role is perfect for you.

Ideally, you will have experience in engaging with businesses and motivating young people into work placements and extended work placements for those students taking a T Level qualification. These placements will prove invaluable to their future job prospects

Skills and experience required

As you will be responsible for building relationships with employers and developing opportunities for them to work in partnership you will require strong sales andbusiness development skills to secure meaningful work experience placements for the students.

Target and deadline focused Working to deadlines, you will be accountable for work placement across a number of curriculum strands, as well as helping to organise sector-specific progression events, live briefs and other activities and projects that benefit the students.

You may be involved in delivering employability sessions to students, preparing them for the world of work.

You should have excellent communication skills and exceptional customer service skills

Knowledge of the local and regional labour market is an advantage.

It is essential that you have your own transportation for this role, as you will be expected to travel frequently.
