As our UI/UX Designer, you will design and shape unique, user-centric products and experiences. You'll be able to make deliberate design decisions and to translate any given user-experience journey into a smooth and intuitive interaction.
Responsibilities as our UI/UX Designer will include:
- Being a great team player and collaborating closely with developers, copywriters and UX designers
- Creating, improving and using wireframes, prototypes, style guides, user flows, and effectively communicating your interaction ideas using any of these methods
- Presenting and defending your design decisions. All your design decisions should be based on the overall product roadmap as well as your own design thinking and fundamental principles (i.e. color theory, visual weight, etc)
- Continually keeping yourself and your design team updated with the latest changes in your industry's standards
- Working closely with Product Management, Product Owners, Creative Director and the Design Team to ensure brand guidelines and UX principles are adhered to
What we are looking for in our ideal UI/UX Designer:
- Experience of working in agile teams with developers, UX designers and copywriters
- An innovation-driven individual with the ability to work quickly and think outside the box
- Demonstrable experience and a proven track record in design
- A strong portfolio that can be presented and defended during interview
- Hands-on experience creating wireframes, prototypes, storyboards, user flows etc
- Experience using tools such as Figma, Miro, Photoshop, Sketch, Illustrator, InVision
- Experience designing responsive websites, iOS apps and Android apps
- Strong experience working with Design Systems
- An understanding of basic front-end languages: HTML5, CSS3 Javascript
- Creative ideas with a problem-solving mindset
- Experience working in an agile/scrum development process
- Openness to receiving objective criticism and improving upon it
