The role:
This is a fantastic opportunity to work "client-side".
The most interesting aspect of this role and function is that you are working across investments, anything from buying new network elements to building new HR systems therefore having the ability to gain a companywide overview as opposed to just function specific priorities.

You will work cross-functionally in order to drive accurate forecasts of Resource and 3rd party budget demand across BAU and Projects.

Looking at resourcing plans, understanding the dynamics of internal requirements, ensuring recruitment of the right people in right place and not ending up with too many and over budget.
Managing relationships with third party sub-contractors.
Working closely with directors in CTO to understand resourcing needs. Budgeting versus number of heads. High level negotiations with senior stakeholders, with a view to balancing the demands on each team with the number of direct labour versus sub-contractors.
Definition, documentation and implementation of a Demand Management Process to effectively govern and prioritise resources across CTO.
Responsibility for the end-to-end resource planning cycle including forecasting, allocation, and prioritisation across multiple teams.
Coordinating the forecasting, tracking and governance of 3rd party resource partners, head count allocation and spend across.
Working cross-functionally to understand resource demand, validating forecasts, assisting with impact assessments of new projects or BAU demands.
Working with functional leads to confirm current resource capacity and analysis of supply vs. demand, reporting over-allocation and driving prioritisation decisions.The Person

Managing with influence across matrix teams.
Strong planning and resource management to develop and implement resource-based planning approaches, including implementation of resource-based estimates, plans and tracking of actual allocations.
Strong MS Excel skills and experience of Resource Management and Time sheeting using tools.
Commercially astute with the ability to understand data as well as spotting trends and anomalies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage a diverse set of stakeholders.
High attention to detail.Business Function:

This business function is responsible for defining and delivering the 3-year technology strategy across Network, IT, Digital & Data. Overall accountability for design and protection of the network. The unit is of high strategic impact to the core business with a large suite of IT and technology programmes.
