Vendor Sales Specialist
EllisKnight are partnered with a brilliant and rapidly growing IT business based in Reading, Berkshire who are now looking for a Vendor Sales specialist.
Our client is passionate & proactive in driving the value of distribution to Vendors & Partners and believes that partners will be more successful if they are enabled, supported & rewarded throughout the sales process.
Duties & Responsibilities:
This exciting role gives the candidate an opportunity to take an already successful Cyber Security product group and be a major part of both Cloud Distribution's and the vendor's growth acceleration plans. This will be achieved by utilising Cloud Distribution's Partner Enablement tools, regular partner engagement, process / follow-up and accurate forecasting skills.
Key roles and responsibilities:
Develop and grow channel partner base in the UK & Ireland region
Ensure signed Partners are committed to a jointly agreed Business & Marketing Plan with clearly measurable objectives
Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified opportunities and maintain sales forecasts.
Formulate new business strategies with resellers and implement tactical business plans to achieve the assigned net new quota.
Build and maintain consultative relationships with senior executives across functional areas within the channel community.
Gain knowledge and insight into customers' business priorities and challenges and propose the Vendor's solutions with resellers to address these needs.
Educate UK & Ireland resellers on the Vendor's product offering.
Ensure Partners are aware of newest product developments and implement & execute plans for ongoing information sharing to enhance partner program outcomes.
Managing and driving new business development with the Vendor and the reseller sales force.
Coordinate account mapping with the Vendor sales team and reseller base.Profile:
3+ years' experience in IT Security sales, and/or channel sales with proven record exceeding quota
Relevant software industry experience in internet security, IT systems, and/or infrastructure technology
Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills (client-service oriented mindset)
Self-motivated; Proactive; Team Player
Strong technical acumen and ability to learn advanced topics quickly.
Strong organisational skills with a demonstrated ability to prioritise and multi-task.
Exceptional management, interpersonal, written, and presentation skills.
Thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth, rapidly changing environment.
Able to work independently and remotely with other members of the team
