Goods In Operator - Permanent
Witham, Essex
5 Days a week (NO WEEKEND OR SHIFT WORK).
Overall Purpose of the Role:
To ensure materials are received on site correctly, stock management systems are maintained accurately & materials are delivered to the lines to ensure smooth running of the warehouse & delivery of the production plan. To support the Cell leader to ensure business and customer requirements are met in a cost effective and efficient manner. To ensure standards are met for safety, quality, people capability and equipment efficiency.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Delivery of components to production in line with the plan.
Loading and unloading vehicles.
Accurately record stock movement.
Review incoming components and allocate space, highlight issues.
Conduct cycle counts, discrepancies investigated and reason coded recorded.
Maintain daily/weekly housekeeping standards.
Liaising with Customer Service Teams, hauliers, planning and production departments.
All components to be stored safely and in organised manner.
Consumables requirements highlighted.
All returns from production to be reconciled.
Highlight materials where delivery method, usage or stacking pattern is a concern.
Assist with SSOW and SOP's for the area are up to date and relevant.
FLT / PPT / Racking checks completed.
Contribute to the plans and implementation of training for the department.
Accountable for stock management processes incl Q, and ADF processes.
Requirements:
Able to co-ordinate and manage multiple tasks.
Able to take decisions.
Able to deliver to standard on time.
Team worker with good communication skills.
Able to resolve daily challenges as they arise, in an appropriate manner.
Have a can-do attitude.
5 GCSE's grade C/4 or above
Must hold a current and in date Counterbalance forklift truck licence.
Minimum 3 years manufacturing / warehouse experience.
Ideally experience in flammable liquids / bulk handing and filling / bottling.
Experience of process control systems e.g. Warehouse Management Systems (Logistics).
Experience of Microsoft applications incl excel.
Experience of SSOW, Risk Assessments, Investigations.
