EYFS Lead/Reception Teacher - Based in Oldbury

Well, Academics Ltd are currently recruiting for an EYFS Lead/Reception Teacher to join a successful, vibrant and collaborative school that Ofsted have reported as 'Outstanding' within the Oldbury area in September 2021.

Purpose of this position:

To help lead the school in policies and practices of continuous school and learning improvement as well as staff development in relation to Early Years Foundation Stage.
As a member of the Senior Leadership Team you will be shareing the support towards the leadership of the school.
To provide leadership, management and direction to ensure a sustained improvement across EYFS.
Teach a class at reception level with a group of children who love to come to school and engage with their learning.

MAIN DUTIES

To play a lead role in the development of high quality teaching and learning within EYFS, this will include monitoring curriculum planning and giving feedback and advice as well as assisting and supporting members of your team with their planning and delivery of a differentiated curriculum.

Take overall responsibility for the quality and standards of teaching and learning across the EYFS practice, this includes providing analysis and reports into the Senior Leader Team, county advisors and governors.

To help formulate the aims and objective of the EYFS and policies for their implementation as well as keeping up to date with current developments in teaching and learning and in school improvement in the EYFS and to share this with colleagues.

To ensure that the requirements of the EYFS including arrangements for assessments and moderation are met.

To share in and support the strategic leadership of the school and to bring out the potential for leadership in others as well as making a significant contribution to the school's leadership takes as a member of the senior management team.

To ensure that all the children in the early years foundation stage are able to learn and achieve to the best of their ability.

To teach pupils across the EYFS and to have class teacher responsible for one reception class.

Actively develop relationships with parents and the wider community, including pre-schools and nurseries and well as managing the day to day staffing of the foundation stage.

To monitor and evaluate the impact of the policies, practices, targets and priorities in the EYFS, identifying developments needed and working with the Head, Deputy and Leadership Team to achieve them.
