We are searching for an additional Software Developer / Software Engineer for a growing, successful and exciting business based in North Devon. You will be enthusiastic about software development and you will become an important part of our client's development team taking on responsibility for architecture, design, development and testing of new technologies, systems, solutions and products.
You will be working as part of a Scrum Team helping to develop Embedded and MS Windows/Linux systems and products.
You will be responsible for requirements analysis and review to help initiate software development, delivery and implementation.
You will work closely with your colleagues on a day-to-day basis and you will be involved in code reviews/peer reviews to enhance software quality assurance activities.
You will also provide some software application support to all parts of the business which will involve direct contact with customers and sub-contractors, hence good communication skills are a distinct bonus.
We are looking for experience, both commercial and/or academic, in the following key areas;
C#
XAML / XML
WPF
C++
Rust
JavaScript
TypeScript
Version Control (Git or similar)
Embedded Software DevelopmentTo be considered for these roles you will require experience of working in an Agile/Scrum software delivery environment. You will ideally have experience of maintaining build management and continuous integration systems using TeamCity or similar tools.
Any experience of creating and assigning hardware, software, networks, peripheral devices and other resources, using virtual machine configuration is highly desired but NOT essential.
Experience of automating the deployment of applications using tools such as Docker would be a bonus.
