I am currently recruiting for a fantastic opportunity to join a well established, forward thinking business as a Quality Manager, my client is keen to recruit a Quality Manager who can join the business and hit the ground running. Its a very fast paced role and you'd be a key person within the management team.
Scope:
Responsible for developing the Quality strategy, policies, processes and systems for the business and its supply chain. The role will include system auditing to ensure compliance.
General Description:
Proven Manufacturing Quality Manager to develop and sustain the Quality Management System in line with the required industry standards (including: ISO 9001, 18001, 14001, 45001), accreditation requirements and business requirements through existing and new procedures. You'll also be an integral part of the implementation of ISO 27001.
Regulate, control and improve the quality of all processes throughout the business. Manage the audit program to ensure that all nonconformities raised by certification bodies and customers during audits are effectively corrected and verified. Support and assist a culture of continuous improvement throughout the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy
• Contribute to new business initiatives and projects and review and communicate the impact on Quality Management Systems (QMS)
Task Management
• Manage all external registration requirements to ensure they are met. Liaise with external bodies on all matters relating to registration.
• Ensure that all in-house Quality Management System processes are implemented, updated, revised and modified to meet the needs of external certification bodies
• Update quality documentation and communicate lessons learned from quality concerns
• Ensure that all necessary systems and procedures are in place to satisfy all customer requirements and audits
• Introduce new systems and procedures where appropriate
• Train others in all aspects of the quality system and application of procedures
• Undertake regular system and process audits of the QMS
• Verify closure of non-conformities with Certification Bodies
• Manage customer nonconformity data base and provide detailed analysis of nonconformities
• Ensure ongoing compliance with the Quality Management System (ISO9001/14001/45001)
• Develop, implement and manage key Quality performance indicators (KPIs)
Working with People
• Manage and develop a high performing Quality team that meets agreed objectives
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Liaise and communicate with other departments, customers and suppliers
• Communicate with personnel at all levels, internally and externally to the Company, in relation to Quality matters
Skills and Attributes:
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
• Excellent organisational and follow-up skills
Qualifications and Experience Levels:
• Relevant manufacturing/engineering degree is preferred
• Most importantly to have significant experience in a manufacturing environment
• Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing skills
•A detailed understanding of (ISO9001/14001/45001) and 27001 would be advantageous
