What you will do

You already have some experience and knowledge of RF/Microwave or Photonic design.

Your skills and experience will help us design new RF/Photonic systems to enable signal processing of RF signals in the optical domain.

Researching published work and innovations in this field will form a key part of your role, as will the evaluation of new concepts through spread bench demonstrators from COTS technologies.

You can demonstrate innovation skills which will help us develop photonic integration technologies, with key partners, to achieve a true system on a chip.

What we are looking for

Some experience of using RF or Photonic design tools such as MATLAB Simulink, Keysight ADS & SystemVue would be useful.

You should ideally have a degree in Electronic Engineering, Physics or Opto-Electronics or equivalent experience.

In addition to these academic and analytical skills, you have knowledge of, or practical skills in using optical or RF test equipment for measurements such as loss, gain, spur free dynamic range, noise figure, etc.

Good spoken and written communication skills will be needed as part of the role
