Trainee Cable Engineer

Are you ready to support the delivery of a fibre first Britain? We are currently seeking to recruit Trainee Cable Engineers to support the deployment of full fibre networks across the North West.

You'll be working in a part of telent that is dedicated to transforming and delivering a future proof fibre first Britain. We aim to be the UK's leading network installation business, harnessing and enhancing the skills of our people to deliver high-quality cost-effective

Role Profile:

Reporting to and tasked by the Supervisor locally in the North West of England, you will be employed to carry out either Civils works, or Fibre/Cable works to support the installation of optical fibre on the City Fibre external network. Initial training will be supported by our client 'City Fibre' with subsequent pathways delivered by our internal Training Centre at Chorley and our Network of external Training Suppliers.

Typical Deliverables:

Produce Job Pack Telecom drawings.
Learn how to complete risk assessments
Work in a multitude of environments such as office, outdoors, telecoms exchanges.
Record quality and compliance throughout the works using the telent mobile app
Become part of a UK wide field force Cable / Fibre Specific.
Install, connect and test optical fibre cable in the provision of PONs and spine routes in line with various contract requirements.Behavioural Requirements:
