Full and Part-Time roles available (after full-time training)
Permanent - Mon-Fri (office hours)
We have a fantastic career opportunity for qualified healthcare professionals (nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and paramedics) to become a disability assessor with fully paid training and personal development to allow you to maintain and develop your clinical and assessment skills in a new environment.
The role will involve assessing people through 1:1 telephone consultations to assess how their disabilities and health conditions impact on their daily lives. You will complete a report during each consultation, detailing the factual evidence gained from the appointment, which will be sent to the DWP. You will also provide back-office support, liaising with a wide range of healthcare professionals, and gaining further evidence where needed, to ensure that people receive appropriate benefits and support, according to individual needs.
You will work with a diverse and complex range of conditions, including mental and physical health as well as cognitive and sensory impairments.
Minimum requirements:
Qualified, registered healthcare professional (nurse, paramedic, physiotherapist, occupational therapist)
Minimum 1 year post-qualification broad based healthcare experience
Good typing skills and confident with IT systems
