Job Description
HGV Fitter
The company manufacture and refurbish products which are used on HGV, the company combination units along with jetting equipment. Working closely with our customer base we have been offering a dedicated service on innovation, design and maintenance for nearly 40 years.
Providing both Maintenance and Repair on Vehicles & Trailers to VOSA standards
Fault find and carry out maintenance/breakdown as and when appropriate
Being responsible for ensuring all documentation is in place and carried out to the very highest standards
Performing tank pressure test inspections
You will have experience installing, repairing, and modifying tanker components such as pumps, meters, and compressors, plus working on the pneumatic/hydraulic/electrical controls that operate these parts
Identifying parts when needed
Fabrication experience advantageous
Ability to use initiative to suggest solutions to problems.
A can-do attitude with a flexible approach to work
Strong technical knowledge of various types of vehicles makes and models
Being responsible for ensuring the HGV Workshop is always kept safe and tidy
Must have own tools
NVQ level 3 / Level 2 HGV preferable
Class 1 or 2 licence desirable
