The role of Production Operator requires you to support operational requirements at our waste water assets in the Teesside region. Working alone or as part of a team, you will report to the Team Leader and be responsible for operating and controlling a number of Wastewater treatment works as well as pumping stations within the wider sewerage network. Waste water promote diversity and inclusion.

We will provide you with a full training and development plan to give you the knowledge, skills and experience of a variety of treatment processes to ensure you are able to operate our assets safely and correctly. The role is very much hands-on practical with a focus on housekeeping and maintaining our excellent compliance record. You should have a good level of fitness as the role may require the wearing of breathing apparatus for confined space activities. In addition you should also have good IT skills, and be able to carry out fault finding investigations to identify process issues and optimise the assets' performance. Experience in a process or manufacturing environment is desirable.

We are looking for effective communicators with a strong focus on Health and Safety and a desire to contribute to the continual improvement of the Waste water team. You will frequently work alone or with minimal supervision so it is important that you are flexible and able to use your own initiative and prioritise your workload, however effective team work is an also an essential part of the role.

To be successful, you'll need:

* Full clean driving licence

* Must live within 30 minutes of Stressholme or Thornaby base if applying for roles other than Bran Sands.

In addition, you will need to demonstrate that you:

* Offer good communication skills

* Good level of fitness and health

* Ability to work unsupervised and prioritise your workload

* Make decisions quickly and solve problems

Process Operator

Darlington area

Full Time / Temporary / 12 months assignment

GBP9.67 per hour

Monday to Friday with overtime available

This role is to support a team in managing the pumping stations and treatment works in the Darlingotn. This could mean working anywhere from Marske STW to Cargo Fleet, Redcar, Saltburn etc, as we have a number of assets across the whole area.

The successful applicant needs to be flexible in their work outlook, work well in a team, be able to problem solve and not be afraid of getting dirty once in a while!

Being a customer facing team means that people need to be able to speak clearly to customers should the need to arise.

You also must hold a full clean driving licence as you will move from location to location in a company van. Daily and routine actions include monitoring our stations via telemetry, taking samples cleaning assets and ensuring that effluent flows meet our tight regulatory consents as agreed with the Environment Agency.
