Interim Management Accountant

This is a role suitable for either a qualified candidate or a candidate that is qualified by experience. This position is currently working remotely but there will be an expectation for this to move to a mix of remote and onsite working as COVID restrictions continue to ease.

Client Details

My client are a highly acquisitive business based in Bristol. Due to more recent growth they are now adding a Management Accountant to their existing team on a fixed term contract basis.

Description

The main responsibilities within this role are:

• Sales reconciliations and working with other stakeholders to manage and understand the drivers for control accounts and debtors walk balances
• Month end reporting to include creating and posting journals
• Ownership and production of P&L's, Balance Sheet reconciliations, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Providing results commentary to line manager
• Identify and recommend process improvements to ensure efficient and fit for purpose
• Support on audit and audit queries
• Other ad-hoc support activities as required
• Identifying areas where it might be possible to create efficiencies
• Other ad-hoc support activities as required

Profile

The successful candidate for this position will be:

• Preferably a qualified accountant but candidates that are qualified by experience will also be considered
• Able to adapt and be flexible, the business is constantly changing so the post-holder will need to be able to react to the needs of the business
• Excellent IT skills, including advanced excel
• Strong attention to detail
• Proven ability to build strong relationships
