Job Title: Key Account Manager

Location: Glasgow

Salary: Competitive salary + car or GBP5,700 car allowance, BUPA Healthcare, pension, 33 days holiday (including bank holidays)

Hours: 40 hours a week - Monday to Friday

Our client is one of the UK's leaders in providing innovative construction and engineering solutions for clients within a variety of sectors including Retail, Health, Education and Commercial.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our business for a Key Account Manager. The successful candidate will take full ownership of a framework account for one of the UKs top retailers across Scotland, the North of England and Northern Ireland.

You will be responsible for small works, and asset management within their estate, on building fabric and M&E disciplines. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and team skills, attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines.

This role will suit an experienced Account Manager or Senior Construction Manager leading a delivery team to successfully complete multiple projects within a retail environment. Applicants with a Building Services background are preferred.


* Achieve client KPIs targets.

* Follow established business processes to achieve customer service targets and ensure these are understood across the team.

* Lead and attend client meetings on behalf of the client.

* Collaborative working with Account Management and Business Development to ensure that as a team we deliver the best service to our clients.

* To manage direct reports effectively in order that business targets and productivity levels are met.

* To highlight developmental needs and ensure that any necessary training and development is undertaken.

* Adhere to company performance management standards and procedures.

* Ensure budget parameters are adhered to and met.

* Accurate budget and forecast reporting identifying and rating risks appropriately.

* Responsible for the 'Business Process' compliance across their team.

* Report on changes with client programme and associated forecast.

* Provide PCR/CVR reports.

* Will be responsible for the review of their projects risk and opportunity to ensure this is managed effectively throughout the life cycle of the project or programme of works.

* Responsible for tender submissions.

* Will ensure that controls are in place for monitoring and reporting works to improve performance and quality.

* Will drive close out of snagging on all projects and 12 months defects timeously.

* Will ensure that QA checks are implemented on site to control and record works as the project progresses.

* Will at all times promote a positive H&S culture of 'Zero' tolerance of unsafe working practises.

* Will identify training requirements within their team to ensure all staff has adequate training and skills
