Sayjo Recruitment Ltd are acting on behalf of a client to recruit an Insight Analyst / Trainee

Salary GBP18,000 - GBP23,000 dependant on experience

About you

You must be passionate about working with data and have an awareness of survey design and analysis, including a working knowledge of statistical software (in particular MS excel). You will be naturally inquisitive, enjoy digging into data for answers. You must be highly organised and able to work independently, with the confidence to share ideas and seek feedback.

About us

Our Client is a leading Customer Experience Research Agency based in Huddersfield. They work in the market research industry with many large blue chip clients. They currently have opportunities for the right people looking to work on some of our many interesting and exciting projects in the role of Research Analyst or Trainee. You will need to have excellent numeric and data interpretation skills, attention to detail and good communication skills.

Pay and benefits

Our client offers a contributory pension scheme and holiday entitlement which increases to 35 days with service. All staff receive an additional 15 days unpaid holiday allowance that can be used in addition to any paid holiday entitlement.

Staff are enrolled in the non-contributory Westfield Health Care scheme and can claim back contributions towards opticians', dentists' and consultants' fees.

They offer flexible hours, with core office hours of 10am to 4pm. This allows staff to flex their working day earlier or later, to suit them.

The role

Job Purpose: Creating and delivering research deliverables including research design, data collection, survey analysis, reporting and responding to client inquiries. The Insight Analyst is further responsible for drawing insights, trends and conclusions from the data provided by the Data Analysts.

Essential requirements:

* You must have a passion for customer data and be constantly curious and possess an analytical mindset

* You can plan, prioritise and manage your own workload and balance multiple projects to meet tight deadlines and are motivated to work under your own initiative.

* You enjoy working at pace in a fast moving and constantly changing environment

* Have strong IT skills and have knowledge of or be keen to learn statistical software packages

* Ability to notice patterns within statistics, being able to formulate clear and concise insights and clear recommendations based on large amounts of data

* Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex ideas into easily understood insights and recommendations

* Excellent attention to detail and takes responsibility for the accuracy of their work

* Ability to work as a team member, good at collaborating and sharing tasks with colleagues. You take pride in supporting the team in delivering high quality work.

* Enjoy presenting and look to improve your skills

General Role / Key skills

* Being the day-to-day contact for research projects with support from Client Managers and senior members of the team

* Assist in the development of questionnaires to ensure the right questions are asked in the right way to produce results outlined in the proposal/research objectives

* Along with adding basic interpretation and summary of findings, provide extra analysis, insight and interpretation of data.

* Report/present findings in a way that the client can understand and use

* Data checking and reporting, developing and specifying report needs, charting, formatting, data checking). Providing this on time and accurately.

* Working alongside Data Analysts to agree the specifications for analysis that will provide accurate, timely evaluation data for reporting.

* Be able to answer any questions the Client Manager/Client may have about the data

* Involvement with CM in conducting depth interviews and focus groups

* To work with and support Research Managers/Senior Researchers in the completion of project work and communicate when the work is done/finished

* Responding to client queries, be a point of contact for your client

* Actively seek to understand your clients' requirements and build a friendly professional relationship with your clients.

* When opportunities arise, attend client meetings with the view of presenting back some results and contributing positively to discussions
