Are you a passionate, pro-active Purchasing/Commercial Manager who is looking for a new challenge?
Our dynamic client is looking to recruit such an individual for their ever expanding business!. Salary is GBP40,000 but our client will consider a higher salary dependent on experience.
MAIN OBJECTIVES
You will be required to support the Senior Management team to ensure there is a robust purchasing structure in place. This role will work closely with the projects department and will be involved in the pre and post job cost analysis
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Please note this is not an exhaustive list of duties but represents the main requirements of the role.
• Issuing purchase orders to suppliers and sub-contractors. Expediting deliveries to achieve improved delivery performance from suppliers
• Negotiating with suppliers to achieve improvement on lead times. Negotiating pricing and commercial terms with suppliers
• Pro actively troubleshoot and resolving issues across the supply chain
• Working on projects to deliver cost downs and supply chain improvements ensuring that there is a robust buying structure in place going forward
• Review Contracts and Terms & Conditions
• Helping lead the Quality Management ISO 9001
• Maintain the WAP purchasing system
• Company Insurance administration
• Company Cars administration
• Support Sales invoicing
PERSON SPECIFICATION
• Excellent computer literacy and knowledge of tools and software
• Sage 200 (experience preferred but not essential)
• Part-qualified / Qualified (CIPS)

• Ability to work to tight deadlines with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
• Demonstrable ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff
• Flexible attitude to work and tasks and ability to build good working relationships

• Ability to work on own initiative (within general policies and procedures) as well as in a team
