Staffline is recruiting HGV Class 1 drivers with immediate starts for our client based in Basildon.

PAYE rates including holiday in lieu for the role of HGV Class 1 driver are as follows:

Monday to Friday Days (06:00 - 18:00) - GBP16.36 per hour
Monday to Friday Nights (18:00 - 06:00) - GBP19.63 per hour
Saturday - GBP21.29 per hour
Sunday - GBP22.41 per hour
Overtime after 45 hours worked - GBP20.45 per hour
Bank Holiday Days - GBP24.54 per hour
Bank Holiday Nights - GBP26.18 per hour
PAYE rates with accrued holiday for the role of HGV Class 1 driver are as follows:

Monday to Friday Days (06:00 - 18:00) - GBP14.60 per hour
Monday to Friday Nights (18:00 - 06:00) - GBP17.52 per hour
Saturday - GBP19.00 per hour
Sunday - GBP20.00 per hour
Overtime after 45 hours worked - GBP18.25 per hour
Bank Holiday Days - GBP21.90 per hour
Bank Holiday Nights - GBP23.36 per hour
We are delighted to offer full time regular ongoing work and shifts are available on all start times across 7 days a week. 45 minutes break paid and 8 hours guaranteed per shift. Assessments available immediately and if successful, induction day paid. Regular weekend work available too.

Please also contact us to discuss our new, entirely optional, alternative arrangement, where a driver would receive a payment in lieu of holiday accrued, which is paid weekly as you work, rather than holiday pay being accrued to be taken at a later date.

If you chose this option, you must still follow the standard holiday processes in respect of booking periods of time off from work and will be actively encouraged to take appropriate time off each year.

Your Time at Work

As an HGV Class 1 driver, the work will involve delivering retail items to stores throughout the South East, meeting delivery schedules. You will be required to carry out thorough pre and post trip vehicle checks and also some collections if necessary. No deduction of break will apply. In return for your commitment we can offer regular shifts and start times that suit you. Weekend work available and part time HGV drivers are also welcome to apply.

We have other sites locally that work will be available at if for any reasons shifts are not available.

Our Perfect Worker

As an HGV LGV Class 1 driver, you will ideally have -

12 months HGV driving experience
No more than 6 points
Digi card and DCPC
