HR Assistant
Up to GBP25,000 per annum

We have a new opportunity for a HR Assistant to join our HR function here at The Wave Bristol to help with all aspects of the employee journey including recruitment, training, performance and development and facilitating compliance with procedures and legislation.
This is a great opportunity to gain exposure to high volume generalist HR activities whilst working within a truly unique organisation. We are still a new operation and we are excited to add to the team someone who is up for and adventure and excited by the prospect of making their mark on the way we do things.
What you'll be up to:
- Assisting in the processing of time and attendance monitoring.
- Administering payroll tracker.
- Monitoring & administering staff benefits.
- Ensuring accurate records of all relevant paperwork are maintained effectively.
- Attending meeting regarding employment relations issues in the capacity of notetaking.
- Monitoring the completion of Wavemaker performance reviews and associated paperwork.
- Assisting in the monitoring of right to work documentations.
- Recruitment administration, including posting of new roles, sifting and processing applications.
- Managing the administration process of on boarding new starter and conducting pre-employment checks and capturing new starter qualifications.
- Assisting in the organisation of induction days.
- Providing 1st line support to all employee queries.
- Supporting department managers with employee relation queries or issues.
- Becoming a super user for a number of systems (ATS, Onboarding, Scheduling, Employee Comms, Health & Safety, Employee Engagement Platform
What we are looking for
- 2-3 year experience within a fast paced HR role ideally (but not essential) within the leisure/retail/tourism/hospitality/sports industry.
- Upbeat and energetic individual to join a small HR function.
- Ability to prioritise workload based on team goals and key milestones
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build strong relationships across both operational department head and HQ team.
- Organised and able to managed high volume administration and not but afraid to make changes to the way we are currently doing things.
This role will be based at our Easter Compton site with some ability to working flexibly from home on occasion.
