The Company

lnvate was born out of a desire to improve the quality of service provision for all DSA students. That passion stems from Invate's founder, Chris Quickfall, who was once a DSA student himself. Since then, Invate has grown to become one of the largest Assistive Technology equipment and training providers in the UK, with offices in London and Tyneside. Invate supports the needs of disabled people in both education and employment. We focus on the use of Assistive Technologies to increase independence, overcome challenges and support individual aspirations.

The Role

Working within a vibrant and friendly team, the main duties of your role (although not exclusive) will be to support the Dispatch Team which involves picking and packing customer orders, arranging delivery of orders, maintaining customer records, managing confidential information and updating customers on the progress of their order. Additional responsibilities will include supporting the Builds Team and Technical Support Teams where necessary depending on knowledge, experience and workload.

Key Responsibilities

  • Picking and packing orders, making sure orders are processed and dispatched quickly and efficiently
  • Liaising with our delivery engineers and customers to arrange delivery of equipment orders
  • Building laptop / desktop orders
  • Preparing USB sticks with course specific software packages
  • Emailing students with software links, software keys and activation instructions if necessary
  • Upgrading RAM / HDD's / SSD's if required
  • Rebuilding laptops if required
  • Dealing with inbound and outbound calls as necessary
  • QA checks
  • Working to departmental KPI's

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Maths, English and ICT, GCSE Grade A-C or equivalent.
  • Highly motivated flexible individual, self-starter able to work on your own or as part of a team, ability to prioritise and handle a diverse workload.
  • You will be working as part of a team and the willingness to be flexible and undertake a variety of tasks is essential.
  • Strong administration skills & ability to work in a results-driven, high-activity environment with a good working knowledge of MS office packages.
  • Ability to work for extended periods under constant pressure.
  • Positive attitude, flexible, adaptable, keen to learn, enthusiastic, self-motivated, conscientious and passionate about your work.
  • Excellent customer service.
  • Good time keeping required.
  • Good interpersonal skills and written and oral communication skills with a customer centric approach.

Salary and Hours

Salary meets NMW.
