Mobile Plant Fitter
Location: Based in Plymouth
Salary: Up to GBP21-28 basic
Contract: Full time
My client, a large heavy plant hire company, is looking for a qualified and experienced heavy vehicle/heavy plant engineer to join their fitter team. The workshop fitter will be based out of the depot in the Plymouth area.
The workshop fitter will be working on a range of heavy plant vehicles and machinery ranging from 1.5t mini diggers up to 20t excavators, as well as dumpers, rollers and telehandlers.
The main responsibilities of the workshop fitter will include;
Routine maintenance of heavy plant vehicles and machinery
Repairs as necessary to ensure hire equipments is fit for purpose
Safety LOLER inspections.
The client is prepared to offer the workshop fitter;
A competitive salary with excellent overtime rates
Genuine opportunities for career progression
The successful workshop fitter will have;
A professionally recognised qualification in heavy vehicle / plant maintenance and repair (NVQ Level 2 or 3 or equivalent)
A CSCS card will be advantageous but is not essential
Experience in a similar role within the last 2 years
A full UK Driving licence with no points or endorsements
The working hours of the workshop fitter are Monday to Friday
The successful workshop fitter can expect to earn a basic salary of up to GBP28,000
