Service Desk Engineer 2nd line - up to GBP28K - Full time - Permanent - Eastwood, Nottingham (Currently remote working but looking to move back into the office, with some flexibility)

I say this in praise of your role within technical support. Whether your 1st line, 2nd, or 3rd, you each play a huge part in managing requests and solving incidents, all to keep other people happy. I'm looking for a 2nd Line Service Desk Engineer, that can provide remote technical support for various different clients. You need to be sharp, and on the ball, as you will be responsible for managing incidents and requests that need to conform to the necessary SLAs.

You will be the climbing point for 1st line support, and this involves ticket logging, incident diagnosis, providing logical resolutions. Ideally, you'll need to have demonstrable experience (roughly 2 years or more) of working for an MSP (managed service provider.) If you have excellent problem-solving skills, can confidently deal with customers both over the phone and face to face, and have experience with the following tech, then this one is for you:

-Windows server 2012 to 2019 R2

-Office (Apply online only)

-Windows 10

-Active Directory

-Microsoft 365

-Networking technologies including LAN/WAN

-Installing/configuring printers

-DHCP/DNS

-Router and Firewall experience

-Experience with MSP tools such as ConnectWise Manage, Automate and IT Glue would be an advantage.

The salary for this role is up to GBP28K, and benefits include pension, internal competitions, 21+ days holidays + bank holidays increased over time.
