Joining us as Head of Adult Provision, you will play a key role in the Group achieving its Outstanding Ofsted ambitions. These include the growth and development of adult student numbers, the continued strong improvement in achievement and outcomes for all our adults, the continued development of a robust and consistent experience for all, consistent delivery and design of curriculum across the Group and the boroughs it serves, and flexible and innovative opportunities for students and employers. You’ll ensure the Group is ready to meet the changing needs of the curriculum landscape as the Government evolves towards greater reform, increase Level 3 lifetime skills offer and meets its Digital Transformation Strategy ambitions.

As our Head of Adult Provision, we’d like you to hold a relevant qualification at Level 6 or above and have previous experience of leading a successful team. You will be comfortable managing and delivering a sustainable budget, and will have worked across a large organisation, developing and delivering negotiated strategies and have experience of maintaining effective strategic relationships.

We’d also like you to have experience of successfully planning and delivering a large and complex adult curriculum offer that fully meets the expectations of the various agencies that engage with the Group, such as the GLA and ESFA. You should understand the needs of all adult provision types of student, including Employability, ESOL and Access to HE and be able to demonstrate the effective delivery models and efficiencies and outstanding achievement results.

Experience of successfully delivering large scale celebratory events for partners and/or students would be beneficial, however, this is not essential.

This position is predominantly based at South Thames College, Wandsworth but as it is a Group wide post, it will involve travel to other College sites.
